The University of Bedfordshire has renewed its partnership with Central Bedfordshire Council to deliver business innovation and growth support initiatives within the Central Bedfordshire region under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

UKSPF is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills. The programme will give a boost to local businesses who operate within the Central Bedfordshire footprint.

Identifying and solving challenges faced by businesses is key to its growth – whether venturing into new markets, embarking on new product development, cost reduction, skilled employee recruitment, or gaining insights into the impact of environmental issues. This UKSPF programme will provide that much needed support, enabling businesses to strategically move forwards while effectively managing the day-to-day issues.
