Professor Malcolm McCulloch, head of the Energy and Power Group at Oxford, took part in a blue-zone panel discussion in the UK Presidency Pavilion which will launch the International Community for Local Smart Grids earlier this week.
The UK Presidency Pavilion at COP26 supports the longstanding goals of the UK’s COP26 Presidency, as well as celebrating and sharing the lessons of UK climate leadership and successes.

The event brought together representatives from electricity networks from across the world, community partners and academics to discuss their different perspectives on the evolution of local networks. It also saw the launch of a new University of Oxford-led initiative, the International Community for Local Smart Grids, which aims to share local learnings on an global stage and help create a net zero future for all.
