Arc Universities

Nine students from universities across the Oxford-Cambridge Arc have imagined the future – what kind of world do they want to inherit? What will our communities look like in 2050? What about the economy? How will we connect with one another?

The Arc Universities Group (AUG), made up of nine universities across the Oxford-Cambridge Arc, has brought students from the universities together as a Student Panel.

In a series of workshops, where they met guests from business, government and academia, the group has considered a range of questions about the future – both across the Arc region and globally. What kind of a world do they want to inherit?  What are their hopes and fears? What is their view of the future? There is the aspiration to double the size of the economy of the Oxford -Cambridge Arc region.  Is it really possible? Investment in the economy and an improvement to the natural environment?

In a series of short documentaries, the students have highlighted some of the key themes that are important to them. The aim; to use this project to share what the Student Panel think should happen; and what can be done to make their ideas a reality.
