The Skills for the Growth Corridor Summit in December 2025 brought together senior leaders from government, industry, universities, colleges and local authorities to explore how the Oxford to Cambridge region can build a skills system fit for the next decade and beyond.
Hosted by The Arc Universities Group at Anglia Ruskin University’s Cambridge campus on 12 December 2025, the Summit provided a forum for practical discussion on workforce readiness, talent pipelines and the skills needed to support growth across key sectors including science and technology, green industries, health, advanced manufacturing and the creative economy.
The event showcased the importance of collaboration between employers and education providers, highlighted the enabling role of East West Rail improving access to jobs and training, and reinforced the need for a more agile, inclusive and industry-responsive approach to skills development across the corridor.
Delivered in partnership with the Oxford to Cambridge Supercluster Board, the Summit marked a significant step forward in aligning regional ambition with national priorities and setting a shared direction for skills, growth and innovation in the Oxford to Cambridge region.
