Westminster reception and Regional Leaders Summit mark year one of the Growth Corridor

This week at Westminster, Rachel Reeves hosted a reception marking one year since the Oxford to Cambridge Growth Corridor was placed at the centre of the Government’s growth agenda. Lord Patrick Vallance, Ministerial Champion for the Corridor, joined regional partners, business leaders and university representatives to reflect on progress and reaffirm commitment to delivery.

The following day, regional leaders convened for a summit bringing together local authority leaders, infrastructure partners and members of the Oxford-Cambridge Supercluster Board, Arc Universities Group, England’s Economic Heartland and East West Railway Company.

The summit culminated in the launch of A Year of Progress, a report by the regional partners outlining activity across connectivity, investment, talent and skills, placemaking, foundational infrastructure and collaboration. Together, the events highlighted a shared focus on moving from ambition to implementation across the Corridor.
